Originally conceptualised to achieve an immense sound, this drum's design evolved through experimentation with added holes to the shell. Once the success of this approach became evident, the decision was made to transform it into a visually stunning block of cheese. With its distinctive yellow interior and whimsical mouse companion, this snare stands out as truly unique.

Indulge in the artisanal craftsmanship of our Big 'Caws' cheese snare. The 15-ply shell, cold-pressed and handcrafted, is exclusively fashioned from 100% Scandinavian Birch, cross-laminated to ensure maximum strength. Additional air vents contribute to a resounding 'crack' that quickly dissipates, while the birch maintains a warm and inviting tone.


Each cheese snare undergoes a personalized touch with a hand-painted finish, culminating in a high-gloss water-based lacquer. This bespoke process ensures that every drum is a unique work of art, with no two snares sharing the same finish.


Adorned with premium black nickel hardware, this snare is available in a 14x7 size with single-ended lugs or as a highly effective 12x5.5 side snare featuring double-ended lugs. Whether a focal point or an impactful addition, the Big 'Caws' promises both visual allure and a powerful sonic presence.
